Flat and Clean Measuring Surface
In conventional magnetic levels, magnets are embedded directly in the measuring surface, creating recesses where dirt and metal shavings can accumulate and are difficult to remove. With lateral magnet installation, SOLA levels maintain a fully flat surface. This makes cleaning easier, protects delicate painted surfaces from scratches, and ensures highly precise measurements. At the same time, the smooth surface reduces the risk of injury from metal shavings that might otherwise adhere to the magnet recesses.
Outstanding Magnetic Holding Power
The laterally installed neodymium magnets are among the strongest rare-earth magnets and provide exceptional holding power, whether the level is used horizontally or vertically. Even on pipes, rounded, or painted steel surfaces, the level remains securely in place without slipping. This strong magnetic grip makes tasks easier where free hands are required, such as precisely aligning metal posts and beams or installing wall and ceiling profiles in drywall construction.
Reliable Stability Under All Conditions
Even when exposed to heat, vibration, or shocks, the laterally installed magnets remain firmly embedded in the profile. They cannot loosen or be pulled out, ensuring that the levels always stay stable and ready for use.
Lateral Magnet Installation Across SOLA Levels
Since 2020, all magnetic SOLA aluminum-profile levels have been manufactured with lateral magnet installation. This includes the red-coated REDM and BIG REDM models, as well as the digital RED DIGITAL version. Classic models such as the gold-anodized AZM, the MRMI INSTALLATION for plumbing work, and the incline level NAM also feature lateral magnet installation as a standard.
