Digital Tape Measure for Short Distances

The 5 m (16 ft) digital tape measure displays measurements in real time on the backlit LCD screen with an accuracy of ±1.5 mm (±1/16 in). In addition to length, it can also calculate area and volume. The tape features dual markings in millimeters and inches, and the preferred unit can be selected directly on the display. A permanent blade brake ensures controlled handling and prevents the tape from snapping back. The reference point can be set to the front or rear edge of the device as needed. Perfect for shorter measurements, such as in carpentry, cabinetmaking, or interior finishing.

Laser Distance Meter for Extended Reach

The built-in laser distance meter handles measurements up to 20 m (65 ft)—ideal for large rooms, high walls, or hard-to-reach points. With an accuracy of ±2 mm (±1/16 in), it delivers reliable results. Functions include length, area, volume, and indirect measurements via the Pythagoras method. Units can be switched easily between meters, inches, and feet. The measurement reference point can also be set at the front or rear of the device.

Capture and Transfer Measurements Digitally

The METEC transfers data wirelessly via Bluetooth—either to the free SOLA Measures app on a smartphone or to PC programs via the SOLA Data Connector. This saves time, eliminates transfer errors, and enables seamless digital documentation. In the app, measurements can be inserted directly into photos: snap a picture, mark the length, measure—and the value appears automatically. All data can be saved, processed, or shared.

Comfortable and Built to Last

The backlit multi-line display ensures excellent readability even in poor lighting conditions. Up to 50 measurements can be stored, and operation is quick and intuitive thanks to logically arranged buttons. The ergonomic soft-grip housing provides a secure hold, while the rubberized casing protects the tool from impacts. With an IP54 rating, the METEC is dust- and splash-resistant. Powered by two AAA batteries, it delivers up to six hours of operating time—perfect for professional use on demanding jobsites.
