The die-cast aluminum housing provides exceptional strength while protecting the internal mechanism from the rigors of everyday jobsite use. Engineered for long-lasting durability, the rigid construction withstands frequent use without compromising performance. A heavy-duty steel crank and a hardened steel end hook further enhance the tool's service life. For safe, compact transport, both components can be securely stowed against the housing. The integrated nail hole in the end hook allows the reel to be securely anchored to nails or screws, making precise one-handed layout work easy.

Faster Line Retrieval for Greater Efficiency

The integrated 6:1 gear ratio retrieves the line up to six times faster than conventional chalk line reels, helping users work more efficiently during repetitive marking tasks. A convenient free-spool function allows the line to be pulled out smoothly without turning the crank, providing easier handling and uninterrupted workflow.

Thoughtful Features for Accurate Results

The 30 m (100 ft) polyester multifilament line produces clean, highly visible chalk lines, while an integrated viewing window makes it easy to monitor the amount of chalk remaining.

The CLAS chalk line reel is available either as a standalone tool or as a convenient kit that includes 230 g (8 oz) of chalk in either red (weather-resistant for outdoor use) or blue (easy to wash off).
