LED Work Lights
SOLA LED work lights: ultimate visibility for maximum precision
If you work with precision, you can’t compromise on light. Whether in the control cabinet, during machine maintenance, or on job site—first-class light is the foundation for flawless results. The SOLA WL series was developed to perform where conventional lights fall short: extremely rugged, powerful, and optimized for professional use in trades and industry.
For decades, SOLA has stood for top-class measuring tools. Now we're applying that same standard of accuracy to lighting. From pinpoint identification of the finest wire strands to the large-scale illumination of work areas—SOLA work lights are more than just light sources; they’re indispensable tools for anyone who expects perfection.
Built for the job: Versatility without limits
The WL series has the right technology for every challenge:
- Electricians and installers: Razor-sharp contrast for working safely on complex installations.
- Industry and maintenance: Reliable companions that bathe even the deepest machine shafts in daylight-bright illumination.
- Automotive and assembly: Perfectly focused light that stays exactly where it’s needed, thanks to smart mounting.
- Construction sites and shell construction: Powerful cordless work lights for even light distribution that minimizes shadows and makes working across large areas more efficient.
The SOLA lighting concept: Technology that makes the difference
Light output (lumens)
The WL series offers a range of light outputs (lumens) for a wide variety of applications - from focused illumination of tight work areas to lighting larger spaces. Every light features three brightness levels. This allows the light output to be precisely matched to the task at hand.
Color temperature
At 6,500 Kelvin, SOLA work lights provide clear, near-daylight light. This color temperature ensures sharp contrasts, so eyes don’t tire even after hours of use.
Color rendering (CRI)
A high color rendering index ensures that colors and textures appear completely true to life. This isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity for reliably identifying wire colors and instantly spotting surface defects.
Flexibility on site
Depending on the model, powerful mounting magnets, articulating joints, rotating suspension hooks, or mounting clips ensure maximum positioning flexibility. This means every SOLA work light can be mounted right at the job, whether on a switch cabinet, machinery, or steel structures.
Housing protection
Built for tough conditions: With protection ratings of up to IP65, the housings stand up to dust and water jets. The IK07 certification guarantees that the electronics and housing remain unscathed even after hard drops and impacts in everyday use.
Modern rechargeable battery power
The powerful rechargeable battery technology delivers the freedom you need without the hassle of cables. Thanks to the USB-C standard, recharging is quick and easy. A built-in LED indicator always shows the current charge status.

FAQ - Everything you need to know about SOLA work lights
What should I look for when buying an LED work light?
Several factors are critical for professional use: light quality (light output, color temperature, and color rendering), durability (IP and IK protection ratings), rechargeable battery performance, and flexible mounting options (mounting magnets, suspension hooks, and tilt adjustment). A high-quality light combines these features into a tool that stands up to the demanding requirements of trades and industry.
What determines good light quality in work lights?
Light quality is defined by three values: Light output (lumens) needs to match the application—from detail work to area lighting. Color temperature (CCT) should be close to daylight to render contrasts sharply. The color rendering index (CRI/Ra) is essential for natural color representation, for example, to reliably distinguish wire colors.
How do I find the right brightness (lumens, lm) for my work?
100–600 lumens is often enough for close-range detail work (e.g., in a control cabinet). For illuminating entire work areas or rooms, we recommend lights rated at 1,500 lumens or more to create a safe, efficient working environment.
Why is 6,500 Kelvin ideal for work?
Color temperature, measured in Kelvin (K), determines the color of the light. At 6,500 Kelvin, SOLA work lights provide clear, near-daylight light. It has an energizing effect, boosts concentration, and renders contrasts more sharply than warm light. This improves safety and helps prevent premature eye fatigue.
Why is good color rendering (CRI) important?
The CRI or Ra value indicates how natural colors appear. With a value of Ra > 70, SOLA work lights ensure true-to-life color representation. This is crucial for reliably distinguishing wire colors or precisely assessing surfaces.
How long is the effective runtime?
Thanks to efficient control and multiple brightness levels, runtime can be adjusted to suit your needs. Depending on the model and brightness level selected, runtimes of up to 8 hours are possible.
Can the lights also be used outdoors?
Yes. Our models with IP54 or IP65 ratings are optimally protected against dust, splashing water, and water jets. This makes them the ideal companion for tough outdoor use in changing weather conditions.
Why is impact resistance important?
The IK rating defines how much impact energy the housing can withstand. SOLA work lights are certified to IK07. This means the electronics stay reliably protected even if the light is dropped or subjected to impacts during everyday use.
How are SOLA work lights charged?
Charging is quick and universal, via USB-C. This means maximum flexibility, as the lights are compatible with standard USB-C cables and chargers (e.g., from a smartphone or in a vehicle).
How flexible is the mounting?
Extremely. The combination of powerful mounting magnets, 180° tiltable bases, and suspension hooks lets you fix the light in any position. That keeps your hands free for what matters: the work.
