New: lateral magnet installation method
While in conventional magnetic spirit levels the magnets are inserted directly into the measuring surface, SOLA uses a newly developed lateral installation method. The advantage – the impractical recesses on the spirit level’s measuring surface are a thing of the past. This is because the recesses tend to collect dirt and metal chips, which are difficult to remove and can lead to scratched surfaces.
Smooth and clean measuring surface
The magnets for the REDM and BIG REDM spirit levels are inserted into the profile from the side. This means that it is not possible for the magnets to disengage or become damaged by vibrations or a rise in temperature. The side installation of the magnet provides the significant advantage of an entirely smooth measuring surface. This makes the spirit level easy to clean and allows for precise work. The seamless measuring surface reduces the risk of scratches on sensitive painted surfaces. This also reduces the risk of injury caused by metal chips which adhere to the magnets.
Outstanding holding power
The extra-strong neodymium magnets mean that the REDM and BIG REDM magnetic spirit levels hold firmly to the object that is to be aligned, regardless of whether they are positioned vertically or horizontally. The magnets guarantee a strong hold, even on pipes and painted or curved steelwork components, without slipping. These magnetic spirit levels are ideal for any type of work which benefits from hands-free operation such as aligning and adjusting metal posts or beams, and aligning wall and ceiling profiles during drywall installation.
Maximum stability and precision
The REDM and BIG REDM can withstand heavy loads at building sites owing to their exceptionally strong profile weight of 890 g/m and shock absorbing 2-c end caps. The REDM and BIG REDM magnetic spirit levels are also fitted with three SOLA FOCUS vials. Uniquely developed and patented by SOLA, this acrylic glass vial includes an integrated magnification lens (+60%) and has a significantly higher degree of contrast compared to a ring vial. The fluorescent light plate makes the vial results easier to read in low light situations. SOLA FOCUS vials facilitate faster, better and more exact measurements with maximum measuring accuracy in both standard and inverted positions.
